by Noah Johnson White County News   A body found in Lavonia could be missing White County resident Douglas Cordell Barnes. On Monday, Sept. 4, the Lavonia Police Department reported that they were investigating the death of an unidentified person found in Lavonia.

Inmate dies at jail

by Noah Johnson White County News   A White County inmate passed away while in custody at the White County Detention Center. On Thursday, Aug. 24 around 5:45 a.m. Charles Anthony McLeroy, 54 of Athens was found deceased in his bed by jail staff.
