Warriors excel at Granite City event

Staff report   The White County Warriors put together a solid effort at the Granite City Scramble last weekend in Elberton. The Warriors had 13 wrestlers finish in the top six of their weight classes, and had two individual weight class champions.

WCRD team earns Super Bowl bid

Staff report   The White County Recreation Department's third grade football team will play for a Mountain Athletic Conference title Saturday in Blairsville. The third squad earned a spot in the MAC Super Bowl with a 20-14 win over East Hall last w-14k in the league semifinals.

WC posts Top 10 state finishes

by Mark Turner White County News   The White County High School cross country teams closed out the 2024 season last weekend at the Class AAA state meet in Carrollton. The Lady Warriors picked up another podium finishing fourth, while the Warriors broke into the Top 10 with a ninth place finish.
