By Mark Turner White County News   T he opening day of the Region 6-AAA track meet Tuesday in Cleveland turned out to be a little wet, but the White County High School teams turned in a solid effort, including posting four individual region titles.

From Staff Reports The Truett McConnell softball team wrapped up the home portion of the 2025 schedule by sweeping Pikeville, improving to 27-13 overall and 18-8 in Appalachian Atheltic Conference play. The Lady Bears opened the doubleheader with a 3-0 win shutout by Kyndall Gipson.
