WCHS teams set for summer games next week

WCHS finishes Top 20 in GADA Cup standings

Staff report   The Georgia Athletic Directors Association recently released the final standings for the Director's Cup Trophy, which ranks each the member school for athletic success during the 2024-25 academic year.

By Mark Turner White County News   After a week off, it's time for the White County High School fall sports teams to kick things into high gears as the start of the 2025 season is less than a month away.

WC runners stacking miles this summer

by Mark Turner White County News   It's going to be a hot summer in Georgia, but the heat and humidity won't stop the members of the White County High School cross country teams from preparing for the 2025 season, which begins in August. The WCHS runners open the season on Aug.
For the first time in school history, the White County Warriors had three runner-up finishes at the Georgia High School Association State Wrestling Championships, including sophomore Hunter Smith (pictured). He was joined by seniors Davin Lightsey and Mason Autry. All made the finals during the Class AAA state championship round in Macon.
