After a four straight trips to the state tournament, the White County Lady Warrior volleyball program is looking for a new head coach. Shannon Smith announced this week she is stepping down after four years.

Lady Warriors earn spot in AAA tourney

For the fourth consecutive year, the White County High School volleyball team is headed to the state tournament. The Lady Warriors clinched a spot in the Class AAA tournament last week at the Area 7-AAA tournament at North Hall, finishing fourth.

7-AAA tourney under way

The White County volleyball team will find out it's state playoff fate today at the Area 7-AAA tournament at North Hall High School. The Lady Warriors need to finish in the Top 4 during the area tournament in order to earn a spot in the Class AAA state tournament.

WCHS sweeps final two area matches

White County finished up the Area 7-AAA regular season schedule Tuesday night in Cleveland, sweeping Gilmer County and East Forsyth. The Lady Warriors are 13-9 overall this season, and have a 4-3 record in area play.

WCHS falls to Bluff

The White County High School volleyball team came up a little short Tuesday night in key Area 7-AAA match with Cherokee Bluff. The Lady Warriors dropped a 2-1 decision to the Lady Bears, and fell to 2-4 in area play.
