Lady Warriors earn state bid

If it's November, it's time for the White County girl's cross country team to hop on a bus and head to Carrollton. The Lady Warriors earned their annual trip to the GHSA State Cross Country Championships with a second place finish at the Region 7-AAA meet last week at Unicoi State Park.

It was a beautiful day for run Tuesday  as hundreds of middle school and high school cross country athletes gathered at Unicoi State Park for the annual Yonah Invitational.

Lady Warriors third at Asics race; Mountain Invitational postponed

The White County High School cross country teams took part in a huge meet last weekend in Fairburn, competing in the Alexander/Asics Invitational. The meet, held at Chattahoochee Hills, featured 17 high school races and a college division race. The WCHS teams competed in the Class 1-3A division.

WCHS runners compete at Warpath Invitational

The White County High School cross country teams competed in their biggest meet of the year last weekend in Canton, taking part in the Warpath Invitational. The meet featured more than 20 schools from around the northern half of the state.

Lady Warriors third at North Hall meet

The White County High School cross country teams took part in the third annual North Hall Invitational last week in Gainesville. The Lady Warriors put together a solid effort, finishing third among 11 teams in the girl's division, while the Warriors were 10th in the boy's race.

WCHS teams race for state meet in Carrollton

The high school cross country season just started last week, and the Region 7-AAA cross country meet is still more than two months away, but for the White County High School runners there is no time like the present to prepare for the future.

WCHS cross country teams running toward the start of the 2021 season

With the weather warming up, it means it's almost time for the start of the high school cross country season. The White County High School runners have been putting in some mileage this summer, getting ready for the start of the new season.

Warrior track teams compete at GAC Invitational

The White County High School track teams competed against some big schools at the Greater Atlanta Christian Invitational last Saturday in Norcross. The Warriors finished fourth among eight teams in the boy's division, while the Lady Warriors were fourth among nine teams in the girl's division.

O'Bryant, Nix earn All-State honors

A pair of White County High School athletes were honored this week as seniors Eamonn O'Bryant and Sydnee Nix earned spots on the GaCrossCountry Class AAA All-State teams. O'Bryant  posted a seventh-place finish in the boy's race at the 2020 state meet in November, posting a time of 17:04.

Stellar at State

The White County High School cross country teams capped off the 2020 season with a solid performance last Friday at the Class AAA meet in Carrollton. The Lady Warriors came up with a solid effort throughout the lineup, putting all seven runners in the Top 70, to finish fourth in the team standings.
