About a third of White County respondents have completed the 2020 Census so far, lagging behind state and national self-response rates. A response tracker at 2020census.gov showed the county’s rate at 33.5% as of Wednesday morning, April 15. That’s in comparison to 46% for all of Georgia and 48.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County has risen to 13. The information came from the noon update on Tuesday, April 14, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. With this update, there are now 14,223 confirmed cases in Georgia, 2769 people hospitalized and 501 deaths.
