The White County Board of Elections and Registration will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, on the proposed consolidation of the Helen and Robertstown voting precincts.
This land survey shows three parcels totaling 16.97 acres along U.S. 129 North in Cleveland the county is purchasing. Thought site-use planning in underway, a new county tax commissioner’s office has been identified as the first building the county will construct on the property.

The White County Board of Commissioners approved the nearly $1.3 million purchase of property that could potentially be the site for new facilities such as a tax commissioner’s office, courthouse, library and fire station.

White County has announced that Shanda Murphy will serve as the interim county manager starting June 26. The move comes following the resignation of current county manager Jason Cobb, whose last day will be June 25. Cobb started working as the county manager in April 2020.
