MCES principal to fill central office position

Mossy Creek Elementary School Principal Allison Funk will become the White County School System’s director of student accountability and elementary curriculum. The White County Board of Education approved the personnel change at the March 21 called meeting.

MCES Beta Club wins several state convention awards

The Mossy Creek Elementary School Beta Club has some new hardware. Members recently competed in the virtual state competition, said Detecia Oosthuizen, club sponsor. Students entered 21 categories, capturing honors in seven of them, including first place in color photography.

100 days of school!

Friday, Feb. 5, was the 100th day of school for White County Schools’ students. Teachers and students focused on the number 100 and all of the exciting things that can be done with this magical number! Mrs. Allyson Clark and Mrs.
