Artists travel to Sautee Nacoochie for Spring Plein Air event

If you noticed artists with their easels at work along the roads in Sautee Nacoochee last Friday and Saturday, it was several creative individuals braving the cold, rain and  wind as they painted landscapes of our beautiful area.

The Sautee Nacoochee Community Association is changing management of the nonprofit organization’s operations after parting ways with its executive director of nearly six years.

‘It’s About Time!’

Have you wanted to travel back in time? Well you can when you see the performance of It’s About Time! at the Sautee Nacoochee Center this month. This play by Emory Jones is based on his book Zipping Through Georgia … On a Goat-Powered Time Machine with Ludlow Porch and a Parrot Named Pete.

Searching for the Unicoi Turnpike

Special to the News The Sautee Nacoochee Community Association has announced a new research project to locate and map the Unicoi Trail in Northeast Georgia.
