Lovell leaves historic legacy

by Samantha Sinclair White County News Former White County News columnist, beloved teacher and local historian Judy Lovell passed away Friday. She was 84 years old. “It’s a colossal loss personally and to the area in general,” friend Emory Jones said.

News finds new editor/publisher

Staff Report Veteran journalist Patrick Fargason has been named editor/publisher of the White County News. Community Newspapers Inc. Regional Publisher Keith Barlow made the announcement Dec. 18. Fargason will start in White County in early January.

The public hearings will be held on Jan. 28, Jan. 30, and Feb. 11. The Jan. 28 hearing will be held at 7:45 a.m., and the Feb. 11 will be held at 8 a.m.
