Cleveland man dies in car crash

by Eric Tiongson White County News   A father of six children passed away in a car accident last week. According to a report from Georgia State Patrol, Adam Highfield, 34, of Cleveland, was driving north on Webster Lake Road at 5:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug.

Lending a helping hand

City approves annexation

County OKs annex to city

by Eric Tiongson White County News   The Cleveland city limit is getting a tiny bit bigger. During their meeting on Monday, Aug. 5, the White County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a request for annexation and re-zoning from the city of Cleveland for land on U.S.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Cleveland is getting a new fire station to go along with its new ladder truck next spring. The Cleveland City Council approved the project at their meeting Monday night. The fire station will be at 84 Underwood St.
