Artists travel to Sautee Nacoochie for Spring Plein Air event

If you noticed artists with their easels at work along the roads in Sautee Nacoochee last Friday and Saturday, it was several creative individuals braving the cold, rain and  wind as they painted landscapes of our beautiful area.

Cleveland picks Harris to be City Administrator

The City of Cleveland has announced that Kevin Harris has been named the sole finalist for the position of City Administrator. The Cleveland City Council voted on Tuesday afternoon to name Mr. Harris as the sole finalist, officials said in a press release Wednesday morning.

The Helen City Commission approved the acquisition of two trained dogs to form a K-9 unit in the Helen Police Department at a called meeting April 6. Sgt. Chris Barrett presented the commissioners with two agencies from which the dogs could be acquired.
