Slate of Christmas events are coming to White County

Community Christmas events will soon ramp up in White County. Some festivities kickoff the weekend after Thanksgiving with the Lighting of the Village in Helen on Friday, Nov. 27.

Caretakers of the Coffeehouse

When Ben and Betsy Dockins purchased Sweetwater Coffeehouse in 2017, they knew it was more than owning a business – they became caretakers of a Sautee Nacoochee institution. “It’s a community hub,” says Betsy. “We want it to be a safe place to gather and socialize and connect with the community.
