The White County junior varsity baseball team is off to a 2-4 start this season, picking up wins over Cherokee Bluff and Lumpkin County. The Warriors take on Dawson County on Saturday in Cleveland, with the first pitch set for 11 a.m. Members of the JV team are Wes Jones, Lane Bray, Garrett Wilson, Matthew Holcomb, Cade Hunt, Weaver Bartlett, Branson Padgett, Gunner Martin, Ben Greene, Aaron Payne, Wes Summers, Parker Shobert and Jonah Cash. Staff report The White County Recreation Department's All-Star basketball teams tipped off the Georgia Recreation and Park Association's post-season action last week with District 7 play.  The White 8U girls team captured a district, with the 10U girls team finished as the district runner-up.
