Spring is sprung for soccer, baseball teams

With the temperature expected to stay below 50 degrees for the next few weeks, it doesn't feel like it's time for spring sports to kick off for the White County high school and middle school athletes.

Warriors set to battle for 7-AAA honors

The most important week of the season has arrived for the White County wrestling team. On Saturday, the Warriors head to Dahlonega for the Area 7-AAA traditional tournament.

Warriors clinch top seed for 7-AAA tournament; Lady Warriors face Lumpkin to decide region race

Heading into the regular season finale Friday night, the White County High School basketball teams have a chance to do something this year that's never been done before in the history of the program – be the No. 1 seeds heading into the region tournament.

Warriors finish second at eighth-grade tourney

The White County Middle School eighth-grade boy's basketball team came close to claiming the Mountain Athletic Conference title last week in Ellijay, advancing to the championship game. The Warriors, the No. 2 seed, put up a fight in the title game against Clear Creek, the No.

Lady Warriors rally, stay in front of region race

At the start of the high school basketball season, White County and Lumpkin County looked to be the top two contenders for the 7-AAA girl's title.. Unless something unexpected happens over the next nine days, that's how the region regular season race will play out.

Warriors gut out win, take control of region

TheWhite County Warriors took a huge step toward the 7-AAA regular season title Tuesday night, knocking off Cherokee Bluff 53-46 to take over the top spot in the region season standings heading into the final week of the schedule.

Lady Warrior squad wins Mountain championship

For a group of White County Middle School girls, the last two years have been nothing short of perfection on the basketball court. The White County Middle School eighth-grade girl's team wrapped up an unbeaten season last Friday in Jasper, winning the Mountain Athletic Conference championship.
