WC golfers tee off spring season

by Mark Turner The White County High School golf teams teed off on the new season over the past week.  The Lady Warriors got things started last weekend, taking part in the Red Ryder Invitational in Jekyll Island.

WCHS athletes win state weight lifting

Lady Warriors fall to Monroe in Sweet 16 battle

by Mark Turner The high school basketball season came to an end for the White County Lady Warriors last weekend in Albany as Monroe High School posted a 61-38 win in the second round of the Class AAA state tournament.
The White County junior varsity baseball team is off to a 2-4 start this season, picking up wins over Cherokee Bluff and Lumpkin County. The Warriors take on Dawson County on Saturday in Cleveland, with the first pitch set for 11 a.m. Members of the JV team are Wes Jones, Lane Bray, Garrett Wilson, Matthew Holcomb, Cade Hunt, Weaver Bartlett, Branson Padgett, Gunner Martin, Ben Greene, Aaron Payne, Wes Summers, Parker Shobert and Jonah Cash. Warriors drop region opener

WCRD 8U team wins District 7 title

Staff report The White County Recreation Department's All-Star basketball teams tipped off the Georgia Recreation and Park Association's post-season action last week with District 7 play.  The White 8U girls team captured a district, with the 10U girls team finished as the district runner-up.

Warriors rally past Union County, improve to 6-0

by Mark Turner The White County Warriors' baseball team is off to a fast start in February, posting a pair of wins last week to run their record to 6-0 to begin the season. The Warriors have displayed solid pitching and a high-scoring offense in the team's hot start in non-region play.

Warriors' senior class ready to battle top teams

by Mark Turner The White County Warriors' soccer team is looking to make a run for the state playoffs this spring with a roster loaded with seniors and a new head coach. The Warriors went 6-8 last season, including a 2-5 mark in Region 6-AAA play.
