For the fourth time in five years, the White County Warriors will be part of the GHSA state football playoffs. The Warriors clinched the state spot with a 52-25 win over Gilmer County last Friday night in Cleveland.

After a four straight trips to the state tournament, the White County Lady Warrior volleyball program is looking for a new head coach. Shannon Smith announced this week she is stepping down after four years.
The Lady Warriors are headed back to the state meet after finishing second in the Region 7-AAA meet last week at Unicoi State Park. The runners will compete in the Class AAA race Friday at 11:15 a.m. in Carrollton. If it's November, it's time for the White County girl's cross country team to hop on a bus and head to Carrollton. The Lady Warriors earned their annual trip to the GHSA State Cross Country Championships with a second place finish at the Region 7-AAA meet last week at Unicoi State Park.

A big change is coming to Warrior Stadium. White County Board of Education approved a plan last week to replace the the stadium's grass field with artificial turf. The project is set to begin late February, 2022.

Hudson Justus picked up a golf club for the first time when he was three years old. Now, six years later, Justus is one of the best junior players in the country. Justus, the son of Scott and Dawn Justus, appears to have an unlimited future in the game.

One of the best seasons in program history came to an end last week for the White County Lady Warriors in the second round of the Class AAA playoffs. The Lady Warriors fell to Southeast Bulloch in the Sweet 16 series, dropping a pair of games 2-0 and 6-2.

With just a couple of games left on the regular season schedule, every game is a must-win for the White County Warriors in the race for a state playoff spot. The Warriors (3-5) answered the bell last Friday, posting a 49-13 win over Lumpkin County.
