After three games in six days, the White County Lady Warriors' soccer team walked off of Cottrell Field at Lumpkin County High School as the 2020 Crown Mountain Cup champions.

Fields, Lady Bears earn AAC tourney bid

After taking over the program in 2017 with only one returning player, Truett McConnell women's basketball coach Tiek Fields has the Lady Bears back in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

White Creek finishes season with tourney title

White Creek Christian Academy recently capped off the high school basketball season by winning The Knight's Court Classic championship in Ellijay. The Eagles won four games on the way to the title, knocking Crossroads Academy 74-65 in the championship game.

Lady Warriors shut out Raiders; Warriors draw with West Hall

It was cold. It was wet. Really wet. But the first round of the Crown Mountain Cup played on Monday night in Cleveland. The White County varsity soccer squads opened play in the annual tournament, which concludes Saturday in Dahlonega.

White County's deepest run in the state basketball playoffs in more than 35 years came to an end last week in Columbus as the Lady Warriors were knocked out of the Class AAAA tournament by No. 1 Carver-Columbus, 65-49.

No. 14 Lady Bears open with DH split

The No. 14 Truett McConnell softball team opened the season last week by splitting a doubleheader with Middle Georgia State University. The Lady Bears fell 6-3 in the first game of the non-conference doubleheader, but bounced back with a dominating 11-0 run-rule win in the nightcap.
