The Mountain Football League capped off the 2019 season with six Super Bowl III games last weekend at Warrior Stadium in Cleveland. 6U Division The Warriors finished off a stellar season with a 9-1 record, knocking off Lumpkin County 14-0.

Blessed Trinity capped off its perfect run through the Region 7-AAAA football schedule with a 35-6 win over the White County Warriors last Friday night in Cleveland.

White County High School got some unexpected good news this week from the Georgia High School Association. WCHS officials found out last week the school was slotted to stay in Class AAAA when the new realignment system begins for the 2020-21 school year.

JROTC Raider squads bring home national honors

The White County High School JROTC Raider squads ended their fall season last weekend with a pair of stellar performances against teams from around the country. The Raiders' mixed team posted an eighth-place finish at the U. S.

Warriors get past Chestatee 34-14; wrap up season with Blessed Trinity

The White County Warriors have made eight trips to Chestatee since 2002, and they've never had to come back to Cleveland with a loss. Last Friday night, the Warriors made sure the road winning streak continued, posting a 34-14 win over the War Eagles.

A trio of White County teams can finish off the youth football season in style Saturday at White County High School. The Mountain Football League will host it's annual Super Bowl extravaganza at WCHS this year, with championship games in six age groups beginning at 9 a.m.

Run to the finish

For the sixth time since 2012, the White County girls' cross country team posted a Top 5 finish at the Georgia High School Association's State Cross Country Championships. The Lady Warriors pulled off the feat again last Friday in Carrollton, finished fifth among 32 team in the Class AAAA division.
The Georgia High School Associaton's reclassification report was released Tuesday.

Danes end Warriors' playoff plans

For the second year in the row, the White County Warriors suffered a heart-breaking loss to Denmark. But unlike last year's loss to the Danes, the Warriors' 28-21 loss last Friday night knocked the Warriors out of the playoff hunt.

Playoff run ends

The White County Lady Warriors' post-season run came to an end last Saturday in the Class AAAA quarterfinals. The Lady Warriors (24-14) dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 9 LaFayette in an Elite Eight matchup. The trip to the Final Eight was a first for the Lady Warriors' program.
