The White County Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball team wrapped up a perfect season last week by winning the Mountain League Tournament in Blairsville.

JV Warriors pick up three straight victories

The White County junior varsity boys' basketball team had a perfect weekend, picking up three wins. The Warriors opened the weekend with a 49-40 win over West Hall. The Warriors trailed early, 13-9, but used a 13-6 run in the second quarter to take the halftime lead.

JV Lady Warriors post back-to-back wins

The White County Lady Warriors' junior varsity basketball team swept a pair of wins last weekend. The Lady Warriors pulled off their biggest scoring output of the season last Friday, running away from West Hall for an 88-10 win.

WCMS teams begin title chase

The Mountain League basketball tournament tipped off this week for the White County Middle School teams. The WCMS teams are competing in the seventh-grade and eighth-grade events through the week, with the league championship games set for Friday afternoon.

WCHS teams begin prep for spring season

With temperatures hovering in the 30s this week, it certainly doesn't feel like spring. But for the White County High School spring sports teams, the start of the 2020 season is just around the corner.

Warrior teams set for final stretch run

The final stretch of the regular season is here for the White County High School basketball teams. After a night off from the region schedule on Tuesday, the WCHS teams get back on the court Friday for the final home games of the 2019-20 campaign, taking on Chestatee.

Football schedule reflects new setup

For Tim Cokely and the rest of the White County Warriors' football program, the 2020 season can't get here fast enough. The Warriors, along with the rest of the WCHS athletic teams, will have a new home next year, dropping down to Class AAA for the first time since 2013.

Warriors drop region games to BT, Marist

The White County Warriors dropped a pair of Region 7-AAAA games to Blessed Trinity and Marist over the past week, and head into the stretch run of the season needing to find some wins to improve their seeding heading into the region tournament in February.
