BOE plans to lower millage rate

The White County Board of Education plans to vote Thursday on lowering its millage rate.
Finance Director Julie Dorsey told school board members at their July 27 meeting that they will be able to rollback the millage for this year from the current 17.

General fund revenue for the proposed budget has decreased approximately $2 million from the current fiscal year’s budget of $40 million.
