Contested race emerges for City Council

With candidate qualifying next week for city elections later this year, one race appears to already be forming for Cleveland,  and a Helen incumbent does not plan to seek another term. Qualifying for those elections is scheduled for Aug. 16-20. Election Day will be Tuesday, Nov. 2.

McDonald eyes future in bid for office

CJ McDonald says he plans to qualify for the Ward 4 seat on the Cleveland City Council, currently held by Bradley Greene. McDonald, 30, is a project manager for Charles Black Construction Company in Cleveland.

Two qualify for Cleveland City Council Ward 2 seat

Cleveland voters will have another race to decide on this year with two candidates qualifying for the Cleveland City Council Ward 2 seat. Rebecca Yardley and Felicia Sutton both qualified for the council member position. Qualifying ended at noon on Wednesday, April 1.
