There have been 88 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the 1 p.m. update on Thursday, May 14, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 19 hospitalizations and one death attributed to COVID-19.

Truett McConnell University plans to hold an on-campus commencement ceremony next month. In a video released Thursday morning, May 14, TMU President Dr. Emir Caner said the event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting that White County has had its first confirmed death attributed to COVID-19, according to the 9:25 a.m. update Tuesday, May 5, on the state Public Health website. The deceased was a 95-year-old woman with "chronic conditions," according to DPH.
There have been 32 recovered COVID-19 cases in White County as of noon on Monday, May 4.
