Plans are in place for an ALDI grocery store in Cleveland. The city has approved permits for the proposed building, said City Administrator Tom O’Bryant in response to a White County News inquiry.

Stabbing suspect crashes in downtown after vehicle pursuit over county lines

An alleged stabbing in southern White County led to a vehicle pursuit across county lines that totaled a patrol car and ended with a crash on Cleveland’s downtown square. The White County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing at an Arthur Seabolt Road home around 6 p.m. Nov. 24.

Comfort teddy bears help families hold onto memories of lost loved ones

As children, some people have memories of finding comfort in a teddy bear. Local artist Laura Southerland is using her talents for a similar keepsake to help others who have lost loved ones.
