White County High School’s Warrior Stadium will have a new look come next fall with plans to install an artificial turf field. The White County Board of Education has approved a start date of Feb. 28, 2022, for the work.

A Cleveland woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday evening, Oct. 31, in Habersham County. At the time of the incident, Glenn J. Corum, 60, of Gainesville was driving a 1993 Ford F-150 south on Ga. 17 near Fred Pitts Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

A local student is working on making a name for himself in the podcast world. Jackson Harris, 16, is a sophomore at White County High School. He launched his podcast, The Jackson Harris Show, in August after being inspired by podcaster Sheila Mac out of California.

WCHS Marching Band earns superior ratings

On Oct. 23 the White County High School Marching Band performed their show  “1985” in the annual Hurricane Classic Marching Band Competition hosted by Monroe Area High School in Monroe. This was their second competition of the year.
