Owens steps away from WCHS softball

Staff report   The White County Warriors put together a solid effort at the Granite City Scramble last weekend in Elberton. The Warriors had 13 wrestlers finish in the top six of their weight classes, and had two individual weight class champions.

WCRD team earns Super Bowl bid

Staff report   The White County Recreation Department's third grade football team will play for a Mountain Athletic Conference title Saturday in Blairsville. The third squad earned a spot in the MAC Super Bowl with a 20-14 win over East Hall last w-14k in the league semifinals.
