Lady Warriors set for summer work

by Mark Turner White County News   The White County High School girl's basketball team heads in the summer looking to rebuild the team a little bit after winning 22 games and advancing to the Class AAA Sweet 16 last winter.

Staff report Truett McConnell golfer Audrey Grace Holder has been named the 2025 recipient of the NAIA Kim Moore Spirit Award.
The White County High School girl's golf team posted a third place finish at the Class AAA state golf tournament earlier this week. Staff Reports White County High School senior Jenna Pratt will head to Young Harris College this fall to continue her academic and athletic career. Pratt was a four-year member of the WCHS volleyball program and played a key role in the Lady Warriors' success on the court over the past four years.

All-Region honors for WCHS players

Staff report A handful of White County High School baseball players have been named to the 6-AAA All-region team. The region coaches picked Greater Atlanta Christian's Jakobi Bowers as the Player of the Year and Pickens' AJ Rice was named the Pitcher of the Year.

Warriors set for spring football game

by Mark Turner White County News   Football is in the air, at least the spring version of the sport as the White County Warriors are set to wrap up two weeks of practice with a spring game Friday night in Gainesville.

By Mark Turner White County News The White County High School track team wrapped up the 2025 season by having a handful of athletes compete in the Class AAA state meet last week in Albany. The Lady Warriors came home with a Top 10 finish in the team standings, finishing eighth with 34 points.

Staff report   During the final week of the regular season, the White County Warriors did all they could  to stay in the race for a berth in the Class AAA tournament by winning the final two games of the Region 6-AAA series with Johnson.

6-AAA Track

By Mark Turner White County News   T he opening day of the Region 6-AAA track meet Tuesday in Cleveland turned out to be a little wet, but the White County High School teams turned in a solid effort, including posting four individual region titles.
