Cleveland will seek more than $10 million in funding to finance construction of a new wastewater treatment plant. For more than a year, the city has known its current treatment system has struggled at times with staying within more stringent state environmental standards.
The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Public Health, will begin to provide a list of COVID-19 cases in each jurisdiction to 911 centers this week.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County has risen to 13. The information came from the noon update on Tuesday, April 14, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. With this update, there are now 14,223 confirmed cases in Georgia, 2769 people hospitalized and 501 deaths.
