Young Republicans of Northeast Georgia will host a virtual forum for 9th District congressional candidates this Saturday at 1 p.m. The format has been changed to a Zoom videoconference due to coronavirus concerns. Those interested in attending are asked to email yrng2017@gmail.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the South Enotah Children’s Advocacy Center (SECAC) is promoting multiple events this month to raise awareness for the cause.

The city of Cleveland plans to raise water and sewer rates, as well as fees for building permits and solid waste collection. Each pricing adjustment is related to a need to keep up with the increasing cost of doing business, said City Administrator Tom O’Bryant.
