Greene joins field for probate judge

Cam Greene is the latest candidate to announce plans to run for White County probate judge. Greene, 35, is a White County native and life-long resident. He has been employed with Barrett Funeral Home since 2010, while also managing his landscaping business, Greene Grass, since 2012.

The City of Cleveland has set dates for a pair of special elections, one for mayor and one to fill the Ward 2 seat formerly held by Annie Sutton. Sutton resigned the Council seat Jan. 27 to qualify for the city’s other special election for mayor, which will be held Tuesday, March 24.

Search for missing White County woman comes to an end

The search for a missing White County woman came to a sad end on Tuesday, Feb. 4.  According to White County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bob Ingram, the body of Brenda Vandiver, 63, was found about 800 feet from her car in Andrews, North Carolina.
