Ambulance service to cost county more

The cost of providing ambulance service to White County residents continues to rise. The White County Board of Commissioners agreed Monday to a three-year renewal of a contract with Northeast Georgia Medical Center for ambulance service at a cost of over $1 million a year.

Renshaw hired as new county manager

Michael R. Renshaw, who has over 29 years of experience in local government, was hired Monday to be the new White County Manager. He is expected to begin his new duties around the first of July. “He comes very highly recommended, with a very strong resume,” commission chairman Travis Turner said.

County approves $15 million in bonds for Woodlands Camp
