Car in multi-county chase hits patrol cars

by Linda Erbele White County News   A Chatsworth man led a high-speed chase on Ga. Highway 115 from White County into Lumpkin County Monday, managing to damage patrol cars from both counties in his flight. Jody Shea, 54, was spotted by a White County deputy about 9:15 p.m.

The United Way of White County has topped its campaign goal of $80,000, with distribution of funding to more than a dozen local not-for-profit organizations scheduled for Feb. 23.

Mentoring program starts

Ratigan reaches STAR status as WCHS reveals top students

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Daniel Ratigan had a goal. He wanted to go to Georgia Tech, but to get in, he needed not only a high SAT score, he needed a high math score on the SAT. He took the test for the first time during the spring semester of his sophomore year and got a 1420.
