by Linda Erbele White County News   Sometimes city attorneys and their clients don’t get along. It can be a tedious business, researching and writing city ordinances, explaining the law to city council members and all the other things that go with working for a city.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Pioneer Regional Education Service Agency named Dr. MaryKay Berry as one of its Pioneers in Education Friday morning. The awards honor individuals who go above and beyond every day to support students and staff.

Family Connection brings Christmas to local kids

By Samantha Sinclair White County News   It’s a busy week for Mark Griffin and the White County Family Connection team. The organization is in the middle of running two assistance programs to make sure local children have a merry Christmas.

Sautee restaurant works with local farmers for menu

By Linda Erbele White County News   Harvest Habersham has moved to Sautee Nacoochee; into the space formerly occupied by Bernie’s at 2220 Ga. 17, next to the Sweetwater Coffee House. The restaurant was a fixture in Clarkesville for eight years.

Costs going up for garbage in White County

by Linda Erbele White County News At its Dec. 6 meeting, the White County Commission reluctantly agreed to accept the increases in price that Waste Management Inc. offered in its 2023 contract. “We’re very frustrated, but we’ve been backed into a corner,” said Commission Chair Travis Turner.
