WCHS lands in new Region 6-AAA

by Mark Turner White County News   The Georgia High School Association's reclassification and region realignment process is getting close to the finish line, White County High School and the rest of the schools in the state should know new region home by the end of the week.

Champs Again: Lady Bears win AAC soccer title

Staff report   F or the second time in two years, the Truett McConnell Lady Bears are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Champions. The Lady Bears (17-2-2) captured their second consecutive conference tournament title last Friday with a 1-0 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.

Collins named top AD

by Mark Turner White County News White County High School athletic director Lloyd Collins was recently named the Region 7-AAA AD of the Year. Collins is in the middle of his third year as the school's AD and has played a huge on in the development of the program, both on and off the field.

WCHS teams earn Top 10 finishes

Ticket Punched: Warriors earn AAA playoff spot

New classifications announced

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Georgia High School Association announced the new classifications for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years. The GHSA is going back to six classes next year for the 457 member schools, while Class A will still be divided into the two divisions.

State run ends: Lady Warriors knocked out of playoffs with Sweet 16 loss to Hebron

by Mark Turner White County News It was a sensational season for the White County High School volleyball team, it just ended too soon. The Lady Warriors were knocked out of the Class AAA state tournament Saturday in Dacula, falling to Hebron Christian 3-1 in a Sweet 16 matchup.
