WCHS Warrior golf, tennis teams

For the White County High School golf and tennis teams, March and early April were supposed to be the busiest time of the season. But COVID-19 changed everything, and the Warrior squads watched the bulk of their season get washed away in the pandemic.

White County fourth among region schools in GADA Cup

With springs sports currently shutdown because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the White County High School athletic program currently sets in 26th place in the Georgia Athletic Director's Association's Director's Cup among all Class AAAA programs through the fall and winter seasons.

The White County Warriors are in the market for a new basketball coach. Wade Mawdesley stepped down from the head coaching job last week, after spending the last two years in charge of the program.

State-ranked Titans up next for WCHS

On Friday, the White County soccer teams host one of the most important doubleheaders of the season when Blessed Trinity comes to town for a pair of Region 7-AAAA matches. Blessed Trinity, a traditional power Class AAAA, brings a pair of state-ranked teams the regular season matchup.

Lady Warriors fly past field

The White County track teams put together a solid effort in the first big meet of the season last Saturday in Commerce, with the Lady Warriors claiming the team title at the Eagle Invitational at East Jackson High School.
