Warriors earn Team of the Week honor

Warrior runners excel at TFS event

The White County junior varsity and middle school cross country runners took part in the Cookies 'N Quotes event Tuesday at The Farm Course at Tallulah Falls School. The Warriors turned in a stellar effort during the JV races, taking the top spot in both individual and team standings.

MFL kicks off Saturday

On Saturday, six White County youth football teams will tee it up for the opening weekend of the 2020 Mountain Football Leauge season. The MFL consists of teams from White, Lumpkin, Gilmer, Dawson, Fannin, Pickens, and Union counties, along with Chestatee and Copper Basin, Tenn.

Lady Warriors win extra inning battle at North Hall

Through the first few weeks of the season, the White County Lady Warriors are working hard to stay near the top of the leaderboard in the Region 7-AAA softball race. The squad had rolled off five straight region wins before dropping a road game to Gilmer County Tuesday in Ellijay.

Boys of Fall are back

The wait was worth it for the White County Warriors. The start of the high school football was delayed for two weeks, but the Warriors made the most of their opportunity when they finally got a chance to step on the field for the first time in 2020.

Warriors open with Stephens, attendance policy announced

For the past few months, football players and coaches have been putting in the work to get ready for the 2020 high school season. But with the COVID-19 pandemic going on, no one was sure the season would ever be played. Thankfully, the season will kick off this week.

White County runners set to chase region and state accolades this fall

After several months of training and road work, the White County cross country teams are finally nearing the starting line for the 2020 season. The WCHS girls and boys' teams got a little work during August, participating in a 2-mile time trial in Acworth.

Warrior defenders play key role in playoff plan

Greg Moore has coached a lot of football over the past few decades. This season, Moore, WCHS' new defenive coordinator is ready to bring an exciting, attacking defense as the Warriors enter their first season back in Class AAA.

Warriors' offense full of explosive talent

The White County Warriors enter the season with a roster full of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. Last fall, the Warriors amassed 4,000 yards in 10 games, averaging 28.1 points per game. Most of the skill players responsible for those numbers are back in the lineup this year.

The White County High School volleyball teams are rolling their way through the competition during the opening weeks of the 2020 season.
