The White County volleyball team stayed atop the Area 7-AAA leaderboard with a pair of road wins Tuesday night in Oakwood. The Lady Warriors (17-4) improved to 5-0 in area play with wins over Cherokee Bluff and West Hall.

The last time the White County High School started football season with a 4-0 mark, George Busbee was the governor, Jimmy Carter opened a campaign headquarters in his run for the presidency, and Bill White was entering his fifth year as the head coach of the Warriors.

Warriors dominate late to knock off Hart

In a game that featured 97 points, 1,006 yards of offense, five lead changes, and big play after big play, the White County Warriors found a way to walk off the field at Herndon Stadium with a 50-47 win over No. 8 Hart County.

WCHS picks up region win, 16-1

The White County Lady Warriors got a much needed 7-AAA win Tuesday afternoon in Oakwood, knocking off West Hall. White County's 16-1 win over the Lady Spartans came on the heels of back-to-back region loses in the past week  to Lumpkin County and Gilmer County.

The White County Lady Warriors opened Region 7-AAA play Tuesday night in Ellijay with a two-set win. The Lady Warriors (11-4, 1-0) knocked off Gilmer County in a tight match, winning a pair of close sets to earn the win.

Warriors stun No. 8 Hart County with fourth quarter comeback

Since 1958, the White County Warriors have lined up and played 627 football games, and it's safe to say none of them were quite like last week's game in Hartwell. The Warriors made a big statement, knocking off Hart County, the No. 8 team in Class AAA, in an offensive shootout, 50-47.

Warrior runners excel at TFS event

The White County junior varsity and middle school cross country runners took part in the Cookies 'N Quotes event Tuesday at The Farm Course at Tallulah Falls School. The Warriors turned in a stellar effort during the JV races, taking the top spot in both individual and team standings.
