WCMS, golfers raise money for Wilson's cancer battle

Kaden Wilson, a seventh-grade student at White County Middle School, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and some of the staff at WCMS are helping him with his fight against the disease. WCMS teacher Esta Johnson has known Wilson for several years and is a cancer survivor as well.

Warriors' historic start ends

The White County Warriors' hopes of starting the season with a 5-0 record for the first time in school history came to an end on the wet turf at Dawson County High School last Friday night as the Tigers used a late touchdown to hand the Warriors their first loss of the season, 42-35.

Lady Warriors close out regular season, tip off 7-AAA tournament

Lady Warriors finish second

The Runners Fit Mountain Invitational has grown into one of the top cross country meets in the state over the past decade, and this year's meet turned out to be another successful chapter in the race's history despite having to deal with Covid and some messy weather.

League lifts TMU to wins

The Truett McConnell women's soccer team won a pair of tight games over the past week to push their record to 2-0-1 this fall. Last Saturday, the Lady Bears dominated their match with Union College, but had a hard time getting a shot to go in the net before a late goal gave the squad a 1-0 win.

It's been more than 40 years since the White County Warriors have started football season with four straight wins, but thanks to a 28-21 win over Habersham Central last Friday night, this year's squad can  add a 4-0 start to their resume.
