Search underway for next Warriors head football coach

White County High School is in search of a new football coach after Tim Cokely announced Nov. 29 he is stepping down position after leading the program for the past five years. Cokely, who was hired in 2017, released a statement Monday afternoon explaining his decision.

Cokely resigns as Warriors head football coach

White County High School head football coach Tim Cokely announced his resignation Monday afternoon. “White County has been good to me and my family, and we are truly grateful for the trust they placed in us by allowing us to fill this role," Cokely said in a statement released Nov. 29.

Warriors wrestling team earns top spot at Granite City Scramble

The White County Warriors hit the mat for the first time this season, winning the Granite City Scramble, a traditional tournament at Elbert County High School.

White County has three youth teams headed to Super Bowl

White County will be in search of three youth football titles during the final week of play in the Mountain Athletic Conference. The Warriors' second grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade teams all head to Dawsonville for the MAC Super Bowl V games.
n November, Jenna Gearing lined up with some of the best runners in the nation at the SEC Cross Country Championships in Baton Rouge. La., and did something even she didn't expect, finishing second in the women's race behind Alabama's Mercy Chelangat.

WC softball sets June 15 date to start conditioning

While some White County High School athletes will be returning to campus next week to begin summer conditioning, the Lady Warriors' softball team will begins its summer program on June 15.

WC volleyball squad easing back into summer program

If all things go well, the start of the high school volleyball season is about two months away, and the White County Lady Warriors are making plans to start their preparation for the upcoming season as soon as possible.
The Warriors, including senior receiver Cooper Turner, right, won't be able to compete in 7-on-7 events in June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The team will open summer workouts next week at the high school complex.

Warriors get back to work on Monday

The White County Warriors' football team will hit the ground running next week when the Georgia High School Association allows high school athletes back on campus for the first time since mid-March due the to COVID-19 pandemic.
