Lady Warriors play waiting game in region race

The White County Lady Warriors' soccer team knocked off North Hall 3-0 in the 7-AAA region finale Tuesday night in Gainesville, and now the head coach Megan Runkle and the squad has to wait a couple of weeks to find out their fate heading into the Class AAA tournament.

Warriors back on track with 15-2 win over Gilmer

After dropping the final two games of a Region 7-AAA series with North Hall last week, the White County Warriors got back to their winning ways on Monday with a 15-2 road victory over Gilmer County.

The White County High School girl's golf team took top honors this week at the Valhalla Cup in Homer. The Lady Warriors posted the low team total during the two-day event at the Chimney Oaks Golf Club.

Downpour downer

Heavy rains throughout last Thursday night and early Friday morning caused plenty of property-related troubles but reportedly no injuries in White County, even as crews conducted a river rescue.
