Wood processing plant plans moving forward after fire

unty Mouldings suffered extensive fire damage this past Thursday, planning began for rebuilding and caring for displaced workers. Emergency crews responded to a 3:30 a.m. Oct. 22 about a blaze at the facility on Appalachian Trail Drive in Cleveland. No injuries were reported.

Hurricane Zeta makes presence known in White County

Even though it had lost strength by the time it reached White County, Hurricane Zeta still made its presence known on Thursday, Oct. 29. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, a Tropical Storm warning was issued for most of north Georgia, including White County.

Authorities searching for missing Cleveland man

Authorities are searching for Tam Thank Mai, a Cleveland man who has been reported as missing. According to the White County Sheriff's Office, he was last seen in the area of Helen, Georgia. Mai is 5'11, weighs 165 pounds, has black hair, and brown eyes.
There have been 997 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Oct. 25, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website.
