A Cleveland woman has been charged with cruelty to children after allegedly getting into a fight in front of them. Tracey Marie Willoughby, 26, of Cleveland, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 16, on charges of battery – family violence and three counts of cruelty to children.

After 19 years with White County School System, Charles Dewalt is signing off. The longtime WTVN-Warrior TV executive director is retiring, with this Friday, Nov. 22, being his last day on the job. Dewalt, 63, has guided the program from its first days to earning national recognition.

A Forest Park man has been arrested, and is accused of striking a law enforcement vehicle during a multi-agency car pursuit that went through White County. Georgia State Patrol Post 27 troopers in Blue Ridge were notified Tuesday, Nov.

Helen may require display of address numbers for responders

The Helen City Commission could require residences and businesses to display 911 address numbers as a way to aid emergency responders. Commissioners discussed the issue at their Tuesday Nov. 12, meeting as City Manager Jerry Elkins noted many places in the city do not have a visible 911 address.
