WCMS travels down yellow brick road in ‘Oz’ production

White County Middle School Theater invites everyone to join Dorothy as she goes somewhere over the rainbow in a classic production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Based on the novel by L. Frank Baum, the production features music and lyrics from the original MGM Motion Picture Score by Harold Arlen and E.Y.

Society hosting program to honor Vietnam veterans

Empty Bowls to provide lunch, benefit food pantry

The annual Empty Bowls lunch will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 20 at the Sautee Nacoochee Center’s Community Hall. The event benefits the White County Food Pantry. Diners donate the amount they choose, select a bowl and enjoy a soup lunch.

by Linda Erbele White County News   The Cleveland city commission reviewed the first draft of an update to its future land use map at its March 6 meeting. The final map will become part of the city’s comprehensive 5-year plan.
