White County and Helen firefighters responded Wednesday, Feb. 22 to a report of a fire at a home on Starlight Drive in Sautee Nacoochee. The first units to arrive reported that the home was fully involved and confirmed that it was unoccupied.

by Mark Turner White County News White County High School’s Ollie Weiland captured a state championship Saturday afternoon, winning the 105-pound division at the Georgia High School Association All-Classification Girls state tournament in Macon.

Using data from Symphony Tourism Economics, Jay Markwalter, executive director of the Georgia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, shared actual and percent change year over year in visitor spending in White County.
