by Jessica Wood White County News   During the mid-1980s, Alan Laney was living in White County and working for a large cattle operation. He would regularly play music in Helen and was encouraged by a few producers and publishers to move to Nashville, Tenn.

by Jessica Wood White County News   Long before Helen’s annual Trout Tournament came to fruition, a man named A.W. (Arnold Woodrow) Locklear started a tradition for three families that would span over six decades and four generations.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   The White County Board of Education hired new principals for Mt. Yonah Elementary and Tesnatee Gap Elementary, and also hired new directors for Warrior Academy and the system’s finance department Thursday night. All hires are effective next school year.
