WC softball squad clinches state spot

Just a couple of months ago, it didn't look like there was much of a chance that the fall sports were going to be played, but now the White County High School softball team is getting ready for the Class AAA state tournament.

WCHS splits region games

With just two weeks left in the regular season schedule, the White County Lady Warriors' team split a pair of Region 7-AAA games with Dawson County and North Hall.

WCHS picks up region win, 16-1

The White County Lady Warriors got a much needed 7-AAA win Tuesday afternoon in Oakwood, knocking off West Hall. White County's 16-1 win over the Lady Spartans came on the heels of back-to-back region loses in the past week  to Lumpkin County and Gilmer County.

Lady Warriors win extra inning battle at North Hall

Through the first few weeks of the season, the White County Lady Warriors are working hard to stay near the top of the leaderboard in the Region 7-AAA softball race. The squad had rolled off five straight region wins before dropping a road game to Gilmer County Tuesday in Ellijay.

WC routs North Hall in region opener

The White County Lady Warrior softball team opened the Region 7-AAA schedule with a bang Tuesday in Cleveland, posting a 16-0 win over North Hall.

Lady Warriors return to Class AAA with playoff aspirations

The White County Lady Warriors softball team kicked off the regular season this week. The Lady Warriors came up short in both of the games, falling to Habersham Central and Union County on consecutive days, but head coach Drew Owens believes thing will get better sooner rather than later.

Play ball

On Tuesday, for the first time since March, there was a game at White County High School. The Lady Warriors and Habersham Central got together for a pre-season softball scrimmage.

The first step?

Barring a last minute change, fall sports will start next week for a pair of White County High school teams. The Lady Warriors' softball team is set to host a preseason scrimmage on Aug. 4 against the Habersham Central Lady Raiders, and then kick off the regular season Friday, Aug.

Lady Warriors get to work, summer games still on hold

White County High School softball coach Drew Owens is excited about the 2020 season. Really excited. But like the rest of of the all fall sports coaches and athletes around the state and country, the question remains if there will be any high school sports this fall.

WC softball sets June 15 date to start conditioning

While some White County High School athletes will be returning to campus next week to begin summer conditioning, the Lady Warriors' softball team will begins its summer program on June 15.
