On to Carrollton

by Mark Turner The White County High School cross country teams will end the season Saturday at the Class AAA state meet in Carrollton. The WCHS girls and boy's team both survived the state sectional last week in Ringgold and will now be in the field in the race for the state title trophies.

WCMS begins winter schedule

by Mark Turner The winter sports season has tipped off for the White County Middle School basketball, wrestling and tennis teams. The middle school winter schedules run though November and December for the teams as they compete for North Georgia Mountain League titles.

Youth teams earn spots in MAC title games

  A pair of White County Recreation Department football teams are headed to the Mountain Athletic Conference Super Bowl this weekend in Jasper. The Warriors' Kindergarten/First grade team and the Fourth grade squad picked up wins last week in the semifinals played in Cleveland.
