Charges are pending in a two-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle and car on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and injuring two people. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck happened around 7:30 p.m. at Ga. 115 and Town Creek Road.

White County government employees received a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) beginning in October. The county Board of Commissioners approved a 2.5% COLA raise at a Sept. 28 work session and called meeting.

There have been 892 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update  on Sunday, Oct. 4, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website.

There have been 892 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update  on Sunday, Oct. 4, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 101 hospitalizations and 19 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
