Early voting has been at a trickle so far in Cleveland and Helen municipal elections. As of Monday, Oct. 28, only 24 people out 518 registered voters in Helen had cast ballots in the city commissioners race, says Marilyn Chastain, Helen city clerk.

Residents can soon get a hands-on introduction to Georgia’s new voting machines. White County’s election superintendent and voter registrar invite the public to view a demonstration of the new voting machines, beginning this Monday, Nov. 4, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 15.
