by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Feb. 12 is a big day at the White County Elections and Registration Office. It is the last day to register to vote for the Presidential Preference Primary, and it is the day the office will start mailing absentee ballots for the primary.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Charlie Thomas announced his intent to seek a fifth term representing District 3 on the White County Board of Education. “We’ve got some projects started that I’d like to see completed,” Thomas said. One of those projects is the Performing Arts Center.

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Volunteer firefighters will be getting double the money to respond to calls.  The White County Board of Commissioners approved a change in its code at their meeting Monday to give volunteer firefighters $30 per call. They were getting $15 per call.
